The number of comparators in a parallel conversion type 8-bit A to D converter
is
(a) 8
(b) 16
(c) 255
(d) 256
The number of the comparisons carried out in a 4-bit flash-type A/D convertor
is
(a) 16
(b) 15
(c) 4
(d) 14
A system has a word length of 4-bits.If in this system -ve numbers are
represented by their Two's compliment,then the range of numbers that can
be represented by the word length is
(a) -8 to +8
(b) -7 to +7
(c) -16 to +16
(d) none of these

parallel type and flash type same.no of comparators required are ((2^n)-1)

the gives 255 for first Q and 15 for second Q

range of 2's complement is -8 to 7 hence none of these
