One Stop GATE Forum: Algorithm and calculus

I'm from IT b/g so we did not really have Algorithms and Compiler Design as subjects. They were just topics in a subject .

I have bought a book on algo by MIT Press by Thomas H Cormen. Will this book suffice.

What book should I refer for Calculus? I have I A Maron. Would it be fine?
