One Stop GATE Forum: need suggestions

    hi ....this is ruchi here. 
i hv completed BE with IT. 
and i want to appear in GATE examination. 
but i m little bit confused that weather i should choose IT as a subject or computer science as there are very few colleges for IT. 
will it difficult for me to learn theory of computation and compilers,as these sub. were not in my curriculum 
should i go through GATE with IT or COMPUTER SCIENCE?
