One Stop GATE Forum: solid mechanics!

   hi,

i'm appearing  for gate 2007 XE paper!

can some mechanical students help in this issue?

i'm a b e graduate in polymer engineering,finding very difficult to prepare for gate!

no papers are related to my discipline in gate,so whichever paper i
choose to prepare i' find it more difficult & get disinterested !

am ready to spend 2 years for the preparation of gate & get
into good college(interested in chemical engineering).the only problem
is the papers to choose in gate!now i'm preparing maths,Solid
mechanics,fluid mechanics!Solid mechanics is really a bad monster ,i
say(i'm weak in it)!

is there any better choice of paper (may be material science)?!

	Well try a book on Solid Mechanics by BEEr and Johston and Ramurtham to understand the concepts of this subjects
