   I am a graduate mechanical engineer with 7 years
experience. I would like to appear for the GATE-2007 exam. I have got
second class (49%) in the mechanical engineering. If i get a valid
score in the GATE examination, would my degree percentage be hinderance
to admission for M.Tech programme. 

Is first class mendatory for all the colleges? I am ready to take admission in any of the engineering college apart from IITs.
