One Stop GATE Forum: Q-39 min bits required in micro program control wo

    Hi, 

Q:39] A microprogram control unit is required to generate a total of 25 control signals.Assume that during any microinstruction at most two control signals are active, minimum no of bits required in the control word to generate control signals will be 

a] 2 b] 2.5 3] 10 4] 12 

Can anyone explain how do we calculate this?
