One Stop GATE Forum: WHY THE GENERATING VOLTAGE @ POWER STATION IS 11KV

    To all electrical engineers 

so my electrical friends heres a question for u pupil.I think most of NIT,IIT n other reputed university students can answer this question 

So the question is 
Why india is generating 11KV voltage level at power station.N y only these numbers of figures r kept.11kv,22kv,33kv,66kv110kv,220kv,440kv etc.Pls reply as soon.
