One Stop GATE Forum: Help me in taking a critical decision

    I m deeply interested to pursue M.Tech in VLSI or Microelectronics and am doing my B.Tech in EEE. I want to know that- can I get these disciplines by appearing with EE or I have to explicitly appear with EC in Gate 2007. Also if the answer is affirmative to above then please guide me with regards- upto what ranks for EE in Gate can I expect to get VLSI & Microelectronics. 
Please help me to make my decision.
