Many students keep asking me about gate, hence i decided to write this page to help them out..

1.Read text books only. dont read anything else. dont read any notes, books, ur knowledge and ur own judgement.

Also visit the site http://www.onestopgate.com  and forum http://forum.onestopgate.com  
2.buy any book in the market which has got old GATE papers. do not trust the answers given in those books,most of them are wrong!
3. u may but u need not go for the extra topicwise que. given in those books, again dont trust those que. and those answers, u may use them for practise only.
4. u r ur own judge, ask teachers in case of doubt.
5. duration: i did it for 15-17 days.( but i prepared very rigorously during those days) some of my seniors also did it for the same period. If u think u have studied in last 2 years and u have understood the subjects then that much period should be sufficient. to be on safer side, u may prepare for one month. otherwise if u think that u dont know the things then prepare for whole year
6. what is imp in gate is how much u can solbe in those 180 minutes.  practise of solving papers is very imp. solve 2-3 of them before exam. u can solve one or two now to judge urself.
